Good to Know

When you’re installing the points, use the included gauge to set the gap according to your manual – usually around 0.015 inches. Clean the distributor cap while you’re in there and check for cracks or carbon tracking. A little dielectric grease on the rotor contact helps prevent corrosion. This is also a great time to check your timing with a light if you’ve got one.
