Description
When you’re running long harvest days or putting your New Holland through heavy fieldwork, keeping that engine oil clean isn’t just important—it’s critical. When you’re putting in long days in the field, your engine oil gets worked hard—picking up dirt, metal particles, and combustion byproducts that can turn premium oil into engine-damaging sludge. This Baldwin P40062 oil filter does the dirty work so your expensive engine doesn’t have to suffer.
Key Features
- Large capacity design with 12 5/8 inch length and 4 13/32 inch diameter handles high oil volume equipment
- Element-in-housing construction (element P7495) provides superior filtration for heavy-duty applications
- Anti-drainback valve keeps oil in the filter when you shut down for instant pressure on startup
- Baldwin quality construction handles the pressure spikes and temperature swings that come with farm work
Built for Real Farm Work
This filter serves some of the hardest-working machines on your farm—New Holland combines pushing through harvest, forage harvesters running silage operations, and tractors handling everything from tillage to transport. The T6 series (95 to 180 horsepower) excels in mixed farming operations including dairy, livestock management, and row crop cultivation, while combines and forage harvesters demand reliable filtration during the most critical seasons of the year.
Made to Last
Baldwin has been making filters for farm equipment since tractors had steel wheels, and they know what it takes to keep an engine running in tough conditions. Baldwin builds this filter to handle the temperature swings, vibration, and pressure changes that come with heavy equipment operation. The robust construction and quality filter media capture contaminants while maintaining proper oil flow, protecting your engine’s bearings, pistons, and other critical components from premature wear.
Installation Notes
This is a housing-type filter that requires removing the element from inside the canister. Before threading on the new filter, wipe a thin coat of clean oil on the gasket, then hand-tighten only 3/4 turn after the gasket contacts the mounting surface. Over-tightening just makes the next change harder and can damage the seal. Always change this filter during regular maintenance intervals to keep your oil flowing clean through harvest season.
