Description
When you’re backing up to a hay wagon or checking the position of your loader bucket, that upper door glass gives you the visibility you need to work safely and efficiently. A cracked or missing upper section doesn’t just let in rain and dust – it creates blind spots that can lead to expensive mistakes or worse. This replacement left-hand upper door glass brings back the clear sight lines that make your SG2 cab the comfortable, protected workspace it was designed to be.
What You’re Getting
- Factory-spec safety glass that meets original equipment standards for clarity and durability
- Precise dimensions for your SG2 cab’s left upper door section – no modifications needed
- Tempered construction that resists impacts from branches and flying debris
- Direct replacement part that restores full cab sealing and weather protection
Built for Real Farm Work
Your John Deere’s SG2 cab was a significant step up in operator comfort when it came out on the 40 and 50 series tractors. Whether you’re running a 2650 with a loader, planting with a 3350, or doing hay work with a 2850, that upper glass section is critical for checking overhead clearance and implement operation. These cabs see everything from tight barn doorways to low-hanging branches, and the glass takes the punishment so you don’t have to.
Made to Last
This replacement glass is built to handle the daily abuse that comes with farm life – temperature swings from freezing mornings to blazing afternoons, constant vibration from engine and hydraulics, and the occasional bump from equipment or branches. The tempered safety construction means if it does break, it crumbles into small pieces instead of dangerous shards.
Good to Know
Installation requires 300cm of proper door glass rubber gasket – don’t try to reuse old, hardened rubber or you’ll end up with leaks and rattles. Take your time removing the old glass and cleaning out all the old gasket material. Start installing the new rubber at the top center and work your way around evenly to avoid stress points that could crack your new glass.
