Description
If your old Cub has been hard to start or running rough lately, you’re probably dealing with worn ignition parts that just can’t keep up anymore. These older International Harvester gas engines need special hot spark plugs to prevent fouling, and when the points and condenser start going bad, you’ll know it right away. This complete tune-up kit gets everything back to running smooth and reliable.
What You’re Getting
- Hot spark plugs (AL388) specifically designed to eliminate fouling in older gas engines
- New points and condenser to restore proper timing and spark
- Fresh rotor for reliable spark distribution to each cylinder
- Gap gauge included so you can set everything up just right
- Everything you need for a complete ignition refresh in one kit
Built for Real Farm Work
This kit fits the reliable International Harvester Cub series tractors from 1951 through 1962 with battery ignition systems, including the Cub, Cub 154, and Cub 185 models. These compact workhorses handle everything from cultivating gardens to running small implements, and they’re still earning their keep on farms and hobby operations across the country.
Made to Last
These are quality TISCO components built to handle the demands of regular farm use. The hot spark plugs are specifically engineered for older gas engines that tend to foul regular plugs, while the points and condenser are built to the same specs that kept these tractors running for decades.
Good to Know
This kit works on tractors with battery ignition systems but won’t fit Prestolite setups. When you’re installing the new points, take a minute to clean the distributor and check the advance weights while you’re in there. The gap gauge makes it easy to set both the points and plugs to factory specs.
