Description
When you’re setting up a liquid transfer system and need to connect different pipe sizes, this reducer coupling gets the job done right. Whether it’s for diesel fuel, water, liquid fertilizer, or other ag fluids, stepping down from 1-1/2 inch to 1 inch pipe is a common need when connecting pumps, valves, and storage tanks with different port sizes.
What You’re Getting
- Durable polypropylene construction that won’t rust or corrode like metal fittings
- MNPT to FNPT design that connects male and female threaded components smoothly
- Chemical resistance that handles most agricultural liquids without degrading
- Lightweight design that’s easier to handle and won’t add unnecessary weight to your setup
Built for Real Farm Work
This reducer coupling is perfect for liquid handling systems on farms and ranches. You’ll find it useful when connecting transfer pumps to smaller valves, adapting tank fittings to different hose sizes, or building custom plumbing for spray rigs, nurse tanks, or fuel transfer systems. The poly construction makes it ideal for outdoor applications where corrosion is a concern.
Made to Last
Polypropylene stands up to temperature swings, UV exposure, and chemical contact better than many other plastics. This fitting won’t crack in cold weather like some materials, and it stays flexible enough to handle the vibration and movement that comes with mobile equipment and pumping systems.
Installation Notes
Use pipe thread sealant or Teflon tape on the threads for a leak-tight connection. Hand-tighten plus about one turn with a wrench—polypropylene fittings don’t need the excessive torque that metal fittings require. Over-tightening can crack the fitting, so snug is tight enough when you see the sealant starting to squeeze out.
