Description

When you’re trying to size crop residue and create a smooth seedbed without over-working the soil, you need blades that cut clean and move material efficiently. Your disc harrow needs to do more than just roll over crop residue – it needs to cut, size, and mix that material into the soil profile. This 24-inch smooth blade gives you precise residue management on your Ecolo Tiger without the aggressive action that can leave the soil too worked up.

What You’re Getting

  • Boron 15B26 steel maintains the perfect hardness range – hard enough at 46-52 Rockwell to hold an edge through acres of tough tillage, but not so brittle it shatters when you clip that hidden field stone
  • 6mm thickness provides excellent durability while maintaining the right weight for smooth operation
  • Five-hole mounting pattern on 5-1/2 inch circle fits your Ecolo Tiger’s hub configuration perfectly
  • Smooth edge design creates consistent soil finish without over-aggressive cutting action
  • Single punch hole design reduces stress points that can cause cracking

Built for Conservation Tillage

High-speed discs are the go-to tool when you need to cover lots of ground quickly while maintaining soil structure. Whether you’re working corn stubble in the fall, sizing cover crops before planting, or doing light tillage on summer fallow, these blades handle the unique stresses of operating at speeds where conventional disc harrows would bounce and chatter. The Ecolo Tiger’s vertical tillage design lets you work at higher speeds while keeping your soil structure intact.

Made to Last

The Boron steel construction gives you the wear resistance you need for thousands of acres of operation. At high speeds, blade wear happens fast if the steel isn’t up to the task. This material holds its edge longer and resists the kind of rapid dulling that comes from moving through abrasive soils at speed. The 1/4-inch thickness provides the beef needed for long service life, while the 2.80-inch concavity creates the aggressive soil-throwing action that buries residue and levels fields.

Installation Notes

This is a direct replacement for your original blade – just unbolt the old one and bolt this one in place. When replacing blades, never mix worn and new on the same gang – the diameter difference creates uneven cutting that leaves mohawk strips. Track your blade wear by measuring diameter annually; most blades are shot when they’ve lost 3-4 inches. At 24 inches starting diameter, you’ve got good life ahead if maintained properly.
