Description
When your disc blades start rounding off and just pushing residue around instead of cutting it, you know it’s time for replacements. This 16-inch notched disc blade brings aggressive cutting action back to your disc harrow, slicing through corn stalks, wheat stubble, and other crop residue that smooth blades just can’t handle. Each notch creates a scissor action that cuts rather than bends tough material, making your tillage passes more effective.
What You’re Getting
- Aggressive notched edge that slices through tough crop residue and stalks
- Hardened boron steel construction tested to 46-52 Rockwell for lasting sharpness
- 11-gauge thickness provides the right balance of cutting ability and durability
- Standard 1.50-inch concavity throws soil properly for good residue burial
- Combo hole design fits both square and round axle configurations
Built for Real Farm Work
This blade fits disc harrows and tillage tools using 7/8 square by 1-inch round axle combinations. Whether you’re working down corn ground in the spring or chopping up soybean residue after harvest, the 16-inch diameter makes it perfect for smaller disc harrows and implements where you need good cutting action without excessive soil disturbance.
Made to Last
Osmundson uses quality boron 15B26 steel that’s heat-treated to the sweet spot – hard enough to hold an edge through acres of tough tillage work, but not so brittle it’ll shatter when you hit that hidden rock or root. The 11-gauge thickness gives you plenty of metal to work with as the blade wears down over time.
Installation Notes
This is a direct replacement blade – just remove the old one and bolt this in place. When replacing blades, never mix worn and new ones on the same gang since the diameter difference will create uneven cutting. Check your spacing while you’ve got things apart; notched blades sometimes need slightly different spacing than smooth ones for best performance.
