Description
When your John Deere utility tractor starts burning oil, running rough, or just doesn’t have the power it used to, it’s time for an engine rebuild. This basic overhaul kit gives you all the essential components to bring that 239 CID, 4-cylinder diesel back to life and get you back to productive work. Whether you’re doing the job yourself or taking it to your mechanic, having everything you need in one kit saves time and guesswork.
What You’re Getting
- Complete set of sleeves and sleeve seals for proper cylinder bore restoration
- 3-ring pistons designed for standard compression engines marked with “B”
- Standard rod and main bearings to rebuild the bottom end properly
- Complete gasket set and crankshaft seals for leak-free operation
- Wrist pins, retainers, and pin bushings for complete piston assembly
Built for Real Farm Work
This kit rebuilds the heart of your 2555, 2750, or 2755 series tractor – reliable workhorses that handle everything from hay operations and loader work to general farm chores. These mid-sized utility tractors are perfect for farms that need versatile power without the complexity of larger machines, and this kit helps keep them running strong for years to come.
Made to Last
The Tru-Power components in this kit are engineered to meet the demands of agricultural diesel engines. Each part is built to handle the heat, pressure, and constant duty cycles that farm tractors face, ensuring your rebuilt engine performs as good as new.
Good to Know
This is a basic kit that covers the main engine internals but doesn’t include valves, guides, or springs. You’ll need to check your rod bolt length and add either TP-R74194 for 2.125 inch bolts or TP-R80033 for 2.325 inch bolts separately. Take your time with the teardown and measure everything twice – a proper rebuild done once beats a rushed job that needs redoing.
