Description
When morning temperatures drop and your diesel tractor turns stubborn, worn-out heater plugs are usually the culprit keeping you from getting to work when time matters most. If you’ve noticed longer cranking times, white smoke on startup, or that dreaded “click-click-nothing” when you turn the key on cold mornings, it’s time to replace those heater plugs. This replacement plug gets your engine firing up quickly so you’re not burning daylight and wearing out your starter.
What You’re Getting
- 12-volt design that provides the pre-heat your diesel engine needs to fire up reliably in cold weather
- Reduces cranking time that wears out starters and batteries by heating the combustion chamber properly
- Quality construction that heats up quickly and maintains proper temperature for reliable starting
- Direct replacement that fits properly without modifications or special tools
Built for Real Farm Work
This heater plug fits Case IH CS and C series tractors from the smaller utility models up through the larger row-crop machines, plus Steyr 900, 9000, and M series tractors. Whether you’re running a CS68 for loader work around the barn, a bigger CS94 for field operations, or maintaining older Steyr equipment that still earns its keep, reliable cold-weather starting means you’re ready when there’s work waiting.
Made to Last
The robust design handles the thermal cycling that comes with repeated heating and cooling cycles. Built to withstand the temperature extremes and vibration of farm equipment, this plug keeps performing season after season when dependable starts matter most.
Installation Notes
Before installation, clean the cylinder head threads thoroughly and apply anti-seize compound to prevent the plug from seizing in the head. Don’t overtighten, as this can damage the plug or cylinder head threads. Test the heater plug operation after installation by checking for proper heating before attempting to start the engine.
