Description
A thermostat might not look like much, but it’s one of the hardest-working parts in your tractor’s cooling system. When your Zetor engine isn’t reaching proper operating temperature, you’ll burn more fuel, get uneven heating in the cab, and watch your engine wear faster than it should. This replacement thermostat keeps your coolant flowing at just the right temperature so your diesel runs clean and efficient.
What You’re Getting
- Precise opening temperature that matches factory specifications for optimal diesel performance
- Quality wax pellet mechanism that responds reliably to temperature changes
- Built-in bypass valve keeps coolant circulating during warm-up to prevent hot spots
- Durable construction that handles the temperature cycles of daily farm work
- Direct replacement for original equipment—no modifications needed
Built for Real Farm Work
This thermostat fits a wide range of Zetor tractors from the compact 3000 series utility models all the way up to the big 16000 series row-crop machines. Whether you’re running a small farm operation with a 3320 or pushing heavy implements with a 16245, proper engine temperature is critical for peak performance and fuel efficiency.
Made to Last
The wax pellet design has been proven reliable for decades in agricultural applications. Unlike electronic sensors that can fail from vibration or moisture, this mechanical thermostat just works. It opens smoothly when your engine reaches operating temperature and closes completely when the engine cools down.
Installation Notes
You’ll need to drain some coolant below the thermostat housing before starting. Take note of which direction the old one was facing—the spring side goes toward the engine block. Clean the gasket surfaces thoroughly and use fresh gasket material or sealant as specified in your manual. After installation, run the engine with the radiator cap loose until you see circulation start, then top off the system.
