Description
We’ve all been there—you’re in the middle of a repair and snap goes the bolt head, leaving you staring at a stubborn broken piece stuck in the threads. Before you start thinking about drilling and tapping, try this little lifesaver. The EX-1 screw extractor is designed specifically for those small broken bolts and screws that always seem to break at the worst possible moment.
What You’re Getting
- Left-hand spiral design that bites into broken metal and backs it out as you turn
- Perfect size for small hardware—handles screws from 3/32″ to 5/32″ and bolt sizes No. 3 to No. 6
- Works with a standard 5/64″ drill bit to create the pilot hole
- Hardened steel construction that won’t strip or break under pressure
Built for Real Farm Work
This extractor shines when you’re dealing with smaller bolts and screws on implements, cab hardware, electrical connections, and those little fasteners that hold trim pieces and guards in place. It’s the right tool for manifold bolts, bracket screws, and all those small pieces that keep your equipment together.
Made to Last
Built from hardened steel with aggressive left-hand threads that grab broken metal and won’t let go. The tapered design centers itself in the pilot hole and applies even pressure as you turn it counterclockwise, making extraction smooth and controlled.
Good to Know
Start by center-punching the broken bolt, then drill a 5/64″ hole straight down into it—about half the depth of the broken piece. Thread the extractor in by hand first, then use a tap handle or small wrench to back out the broken bolt. Take your time and let the tool do the work—forcing it just makes things worse.
