Description
When your front wheels start looking like they’re covered in oil spray, or you’re constantly topping off the front axle oil, these pivot seals are usually the problem. Located where your front wheels pivot for steering, these small but critical seals take a beating from constant movement, dirt, and pressure. Don’t let a few dollars in seals turn into thousands in axle repairs when dirt gets into those expensive steering components.
What You’re Getting
- Precision 62mm x 50mm x 9mm dimensions for perfect Carraro axle fit
- Heavy-duty construction that handles constant pivoting motion
- Oil-resistant compound designed specifically for gear oil compatibility
- Double-lip design keeps oil in and contamination out
Built for Real Farm Work
Carraro axles are found on a huge range of tractors, making this seal a must-stock item for many farms. Whether you’re running a Ford 40 series doing loader work, a New Holland TL handling daily chores, a Case Maxxum working fields, or a Renault doing vineyard work, these tractors all share similar front axle designs. The constant steering motion, especially during loader work or headland turns, works these seals hard.
Made to Last
These pivot seals face unique challenges compared to stationary seals. They must handle constant rotational movement while maintaining a perfect seal. The rubber compound stays flexible across temperature extremes – from cold morning starts to hot summer fieldwork. The metal reinforcement prevents distortion under side loads that occur during turning.
Installation Notes
Pivot seal replacement requires the front wheels to be removed and usually some disassembly of the steering knuckle. Clean everything thoroughly – any grit left behind becomes grinding compound. These seals must be driven in perfectly square – any cocking causes immediate failure. Use a proper seal driver that contacts the outer edge only and pre-lube with gear oil, never install dry.
