Description

When your disc blades start looking more like worn pennies than cutting tools, you need something with real bite to slice through crop residue instead of just pushing it around. This 24-inch notched cone disc blade from Osmundson brings aggressive cutting action back to your harrow, with that deep cone design providing extra soil-throwing power that buries stubble and leaves you with a clean seedbed ready for planting.

What You’re Getting

  • Notched edge creates scissor action that slices through tough corn stalks and matted residue other blades just bend over
  • Deep cone concavity throws soil aggressively to bury crop residue and level uneven ground
  • Heavy-duty 1/4-inch Boron steel construction maintains sharp edge through acres of tough tillage work
  • Single punch hole design fits standard 1-1/4 inch square axles with solid mounting that won’t wobble
  • 46-52 Rockwell hardness range—hard enough to hold an edge but won’t shatter when you hit that hidden rock

Built for Real Farm Work

This blade is designed for disc harrows running 1-1/4 inch square axles, the workhorses you see breaking up corn ground in the fall and incorporating cover crops. The deep cone design makes it ideal for heavy residue conditions where you need that extra soil-moving action to properly bury material and create a uniform seedbed.

Made to Last

Osmundson doesn’t mess around with blade materials. This Boron 15B26 steel maintains the perfect hardness range – hard enough at 46-52 Rockwell to hold an edge through acres of tough tillage, but not so brittle it shatters when you clip that hidden field stone. The 1/4-inch thickness gives you the beef needed for long service life in tough field conditions.

Installation Notes

This is a direct replacement for worn cone disc blades—just remove the old blade and mount the new one with your existing hardware. When replacing blades, never mix worn and new on the same gang – the diameter difference creates uneven cutting that leaves mohawk strips. Check your axle for wear while you’ve got the blade off, and consider replacing the full gang set if several blades need attention.
