Description
When your PTO starts developing play or won’t engage smoothly, you know it’s time for a replacement. A worn shaft doesn’t just cause annoying vibration—it can damage both your tractor’s transmission and your expensive implements through misalignment and excessive wear. This replacement shaft gets you back to reliable power transfer so you can focus on the work at hand.
What You’re Getting
- Dual spline setup with both 6-spline and 21-spline sections on the same 1-3/8″ shaft
- Works with older 6-spline implements and newer 21-spline equipment without adapters
- Precision-machined splines maintain proper clearances for smooth engagement
- Quality steel construction handles high torque loads and constant cycling
- Direct replacement for worn factory shafts—no modifications needed
Built for Real Farm Work
This shaft fits your 6020-6620 series utility and row-crop tractors, plus the 6030-6630 Premium and SE models. Whether you’re running a rotary cutter with your 6220, powering a round baler with your 6420, or operating a feed mixer with your 6630, this shaft handles the torque these powerful tractors put out. The dual spline design means you can run both your older 6-spline tedder and your newer 21-spline disc mower with the same tractor.
Made to Last
Farm PTO systems take a beating with constant engagement cycles, shock loads from implement startup, and the demanding duty cycles that come with agricultural work. This shaft features the same quality steel construction and heat treatment as the original, so it’ll hold up to whatever you throw at it season after season.
Installation Notes
Support the shaft weight during removal and installation to avoid damaging seals or bearings. Clean the splines thoroughly and apply anti-seize compound for future serviceability. You’ll want to order circlip QTP-59501 if yours is worn or damaged—it’s a small part but critical for keeping everything in place. Check engagement depth carefully; too shallow and it’ll jump out under load.
