Description
You’re out working in the field when you notice one of your rear wheels has that telltale wobble – the rim is starting to separate from the disc. This bolt size is perfect for medium to heavy-duty connections on tractors, implements, and shop-built equipment. You’ll find 5/8-inch bolts holding together everything from three-point hitch components to loader mounts and cultivator frames. This rim to disc bolt is exactly what you need to secure your wheel assembly back where it belongs, with the square shoulder design preventing rotation under load.
What You’re Getting
- 5/8 UNF threading provides strong, secure attachment between rim and disc components
- 71mm length gives you the perfect reach for proper thread engagement
- Square shoulder design prevents bolt rotation during tightening and operation
- Complete with nut and washer – everything you need for a proper installation
- Heavy-duty construction handles the constant stress of field work and road travel
Built for Real Farm Work
This bolt fits a wide range of tractors from the classic Massey Ferguson TE series (TEA20, TED20, TEF20, TE20) to Ford New Holland models across multiple series, plus Case IH and David Brown machines. Whether you’re running a vintage Ferguson on a small farm or operating a newer Ford on bigger acreage, these bolts keep your wheels solid and safe during everything from plowing and cultivating to hay work and transport.
Made to Last
Grade 5 bolts offer the sweet spot between strength and cost—they’re about 25% stronger than Grade 2 hardware store bolts but cost less than Grade 8. The zinc coating helps them stand up to moisture and road salt, so they won’t rust out on you in a season or two. The square shoulder design is key here – it locks into the disc to prevent the bolt from spinning when you’re tightening the nut.
Installation Notes
Thread the bolt through from the disc side with the square shoulder seated properly in its matching hole. Always use a flat washer under the head and nut to distribute the load properly. These bolts work under significant stress, so don’t skip the washer even though it comes with one. A little anti-seize compound on the threads makes future removal much easier, especially if the connection might see heat or road salt.
