Description
When your Ford 7000-series tractor starts blowing blue smoke, using more oil than it should, or losing power under load, the turbo diesel engine is telling you it needs attention. Hard starting on cold mornings and excessive crankcase pressure are sure signs those cylinders and valve train have seen better days. This complete overhaul kit gives you everything needed to rebuild that reliable 256 CID four-cylinder powerplant back to like-new condition.

- Full gasket set plus cam bearings and pin bushings for a complete internal refresh
- Tru-Power quality components that meet original Ford specifications
- Everything needed for a professional rebuild in one convenient kit
Built for Real Farm Work
This kit fits the turbocharged diesel engines in Ford 7000 tractors from late 1971 through 1975, plus the 7600 and 7700 models from 1975 to 1980. These were serious workhorses designed for heavy field work, loader operations, and long days of plowing and cultivating. Whether you’re running a grain farm or cattle operation, this engine handled whatever you threw at it.
Made to Last
Tru-Power builds these kits to handle the demands of agricultural work. The oversized pistons restore proper compression and oil control, while the new valve train components ensure years of reliable service. Every part is manufactured to meet or exceed original equipment standards for fit and durability.
Installation Notes
This is a complete rebuild kit requiring engine disassembly and machine shop work to bore the cylinders .040 over. Have your block checked for cracks and decked if needed while it’s apart. The oversized pistons will restore compression and eliminate blow-by, giving you years of reliable service ahead.
