Description
If you’ve been running your Hitachi excavator or Komatsu lift truck hard and starting to notice rough idling or power loss, there’s a good chance your fuel filter is loaded up with dirt and debris. When equipment starts acting sluggish or you notice rough idling, there’s a good chance your fuel filter is clogged with dirt, water, or debris. A clean fuel filter keeps your engine running smooth and protects those expensive injection components from damage. This Baldwin BF7838 replacement gets your fuel system back to filtering the way it should.

Built for Heavy-Duty Work
This filter is engineered for the demanding world of excavation and material handling equipment. Hitachi excavators work in dusty, dirty conditions where fuel contamination is a constant threat, while Komatsu lift trucks operate in industrial environments where clean fuel delivery is critical for reliable operation. Whether you’re digging foundations, loading trucks, or moving materials around a job site, this filter provides the protection your fuel system needs.
Made to Last
Baldwin has been making filters for decades, and they know what it takes to handle demanding conditions. The robust construction handles the pressure fluctuations and vibration that come with heavy equipment operation, while the quality filter media removes contaminants without restricting fuel flow to your engine.
Installation Notes
This is a direct spin-on replacement that threads right into place. Apply a thin film of clean fuel to the gasket before installation, then hand-tighten until the gasket contacts the mounting surface, plus an additional 3/4 turn. Don’t over-tighten—the metric threads can be damaged if you get too aggressive with the wrench.
